And right now, as you're listening to this, people in Lebanon are burying their children because of it. Families in Gaza have no homes left because of it. Iran is at war because of it. Europe is paying energy bills that doubled overnight because of it, and your tax dollars, if you're American, have been funding the consequences of it every single year since 1948. One letter, 67 words, and nobody asked the people who lived there what they thought.

Talking about. By the end of this episode, you're going to understand something that 100 news channels, 1000 opinion pieces, and decades of political speeches have never told you clearly. Not because they didn't know, but because it was more useful if you didn't. I'm breaking it down. This is a topic that is more complicated than life itself, but here we're starting somewhere.

1:57 Now, before we go anywhere, I need to separate three things because right now your brain has probably filed all of this under 1 folder called the Middle East Conflict. That folder is killing your ability to understand what's actually happening. So we're going to open it up and sort it out. Now. Thing one Iran. The regime is not Iran the people. Iran's Persian civilization is 2500 years old. The Islamic Republic is 47. Most Iranians are secular, educated, and despise their own government. We know this because in late 2025 they proved it.

2:49 The largest nationwide protests since the 1979 revolution erupted across Iran. People in the streets, Not for America, not for Israel. Against their own regime. The regime killed thousands of them. The US based Human Rights Activists News Agency put the death toll at 7007 thousand people killed by their own government while the world argued about Iran's nuclear program.

3:25 Thing 2. The Arab Middle East is not Iran's ally, not religiously, not ethnically and not historically. Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Yep, that's where your divide is. Kuwait, Jordan, Egypt, These are Sunni Arab nations. Iran is Shia Persian. The Sunni Shia split has existed for 1400 years. The Arab Persian rivalry runs even deeper than that. These countries don't see Iran as a Muslim brother, they see Iran as a competitor for regional dominance. This is not a united Muslim world versus a united W. That framing is one of the most useful lies ever told, Useful to everyone except the people dying in it.

4:25 And thing three, this is not a religious war. Religion is the uniform as it always is. Power and resources are the body wearing it. I want you to keep those three things in your head because we're going to need all of them. On November 2nd, 1917, British Foreign Secretary Arthur James Balfour writes a letter to Walter Rothschild, a prominent figure in the British Jewish community and a member of the famous Rothschild banking family. The letter is 67 words. Research it it says Britain views with favor the establishment in Palestine of a national home for the Jewish people and will use their best endeavors to facilitate it on the condition that nothing shall be done which may prejudice the civil and religious rights of existing non Jewish communities in Palestine.

5:30 The rights of the existing communities built in from day one as a condition. Now here's what you weren't told in school. At the time this letter was written, Palestine was 90% Arab. The Jewish population was around 10%. The British government was promising land it didn't own to a group of people who didn't live there without consulting the people who did. But why? Why would Britain do this? So let's go back to World War One. Britain needed America to enter the war. The Zionist movement, which was pushing for a Jewish homeland, had significant influence in the United States.

6:14 Britain calculated that a promise to the Zionist movement would help bring American Jewish influence behind the war effort and accelerate US involvement. The founding document of the modern Middle East was a wartime political transaction land that wasn't Britain's, to give people who weren't consulted a promise made for strategic advantage in a war on a completely different continent. That is where this begins. Not in religion in a deal. Do as I say and you live. One year before the Balfour Declaration in 1916, Britain and France were already carving up the Middle East between themselves.

6:55 The agreement was called Sykes Picot, named after the two diplomats who drew the map. They literally took a ruler and drew lines across the map of the Ottoman Empire. Lines that created Iraq, Syria, Lebanon. Lines that created Jordan and Kuwait. Lines that bore no relationship whatsoever to the ethnic groups, tribes, religious communities or economic realities of the people living there. Every major conflict in the modern Middle East, every single one, can be traced back to those lines. Iraq's sectarian civil war, Syria's collapse, Lebanon's fragility, Kuwait's vulnerability, the Palestinian displacement.

7:47 Everyone 2 European men, one map, 1 ruler as in the instrument, and 100 years of consequences paid by people who were never in the room. This is a pattern. I want you to keep it in mind. The people making the decisions are never the people paying the price. That pattern does not stop in 1916 because it is still running today. Most people are watching the war, a few are trying to understand it. This series is for the second group, 8 episodes. Every thread connected all sourced the arrangement only on unusual practice.

8:31 Now we need to talk about something that makes people a bit uncomfortable, and that is the biblical claim to the land. In the book of Genesis, God promises Abraham's descendants land stretching from the river of Egypt to the Euphrates. That territory, if you put it on a modern map, encompasses modern Israel, the occupied Palestinian territories, Lebanon, significant parts of Syria, Jordan, parts of Iraq, and parts of Saudi Arabia. Now here is the irony that stops most people cold when they hear it.

9:06 That promise in Genesis was made to Abraham. Great. Abraham is the patriarch of three religions. Can you guess what they are? Judaism, Christianity and Islam. And according to the same book of Genesis, Abraham had two sons, Isaac, regarded as the forefather of the Jewish people, and Ishmael, regarded as the forefather of the Arab people. Both sons, same father, same promise, same book is a very nice The biblical claim to this land is not exclusive. It never was. But it is being used exclusively as a religious justification for political and military expansion.

9:58 And here is where it gets even more complicated. Israel's finance Minister Bizal Al Smotrix, a sitting government minister, not a fringe voice, said publicly on record. Settlement in the land of our ancestors is the protective wall of the State of Israel. He was referring to West Bank settlements built on land the United Nations considers illegally occupied. The same minister in a documentary, described Lebanon, Jordan, Egypt, Syria, Iraq and Saudi Arabia as territories Israel would gradually extend control over.

10:37 This is not a settler on a hill. This is a government minister in the current cabinet describing the map they are working towards. And then the American ambassador to Israel, Mike Huckabee, asked directly by Tucker Carlson whether he supported Israel controlling all land from the Nile to the Euphrates. Huckabee would not disavow it, he said on camera. It would be fine if they took it all. The American ambassador to Israel, appointed by the US President, accountable to no one, saying that territory currently occupied by Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, Iraq and Saudi Arabia should belong to Israel on camera with no consequence.

11:24 Now I need to tell you about the most important relationship in this entire story that nobody talks about, the relationship between Christian Zionism and the State of Israel. Christian Zionism, the belief that Jewish control of the Holy Land must be supported and expanded as a prerequisite for the second coming of Jesus Christ, is not a fringe movement. Christians United for Israel, the largest Christian Zionist organization, has 10 million members. It is one of the most powerful lobbying forces in the Republican Party.

12:02 American evangelicals are 50% more likely than the average American to oppose restrictions on military aid to Israel, twice as likely to support Israeli military action without qualification. They form a cornerstone of AIPAC, the American Israeli lobbying organization that spent $127 million in the 2024 election cycle alone. Here is what their theology actually says. And this is where it gets dark. Christian, Zionist, dispensationalist theology holds that before the 2nd coming, all living Jews must gather in Israel.

12:44 Then a period of tribulation and war, Armageddon. And in their own theology, at the end of Armageddon, 2/3 of the Jews gathered in Israel will be killed. The remaining third will accept Jesus Christ as Messiah and be saved. Let that sit for a moment. The largest pro Israel movement in the United States. The one lobbying Congress, funding settlements, blocking peace deals, celebrating every Israeli military expansion is operating according to a theology in which their ultimate gift to Jewish people is a war in which 2/3 of them die.

13:31 And Israeli leadership? Well, they know. They know, former Israeli ambassador to the UN Danny Dannon said it openly. We can sort out our differences over the coming of the Messiah when the time comes, but for now we need to deal with Hamas, Hezbollah, Iran. If we have friends willing to work with us, we should welcome them. He knows the theology, he accepts the support. Anyway. That is not an alliance. That is mutual exploitation, two parties using each other for completely different ends. And here is the final irony, the one that should end the debate about whether this war has anything to do with Christianity.

14:18 In January 2026, just a few months ago, guys, the patriarchs and heads of churches in Jerusalem. The actual Christian leaders living in the actual Holy Land published a statement calling Christian Zionism a false teaching that misleads the public, sows confusion, and has led to unending cycles of violence undermining the security of all peoples of the Middle East. The Christians living in Jerusalem rejected Christian Zionism. The Christians in America funding the war did not even notice. Now here's the history they definitely didn't teach you.

15:00 Christians and Jews have spent 1500 years in a cycle of persecution that went both ways, and understanding it is the only way to understand how we arrived here. In the earliest days of Christianity, Jewish authorities refused to recognize early Christians as fellow Jews. Under Roman law, this distinction often meant early Christians could be executed by Rome. That is the first fiction, not Christians persecuting Jews. The reverse through Roman machinery. Then the pendulum swings, and it swings catastrophically.

15:40 As Christianity became the religion of the Roman Empire, Jews faced increasingly severe persecution, ostracism, forced conversion, expulsion, violence. They were blamed for the Black Death, accused of poisoning wells, accused of murdering Christian children, accused of controlling money. These accusations became folklore. Folklore became policy. Policy became systematic state violence. Martin Luther, the father of Protestant Christianity, whose theology most American evangelicals today descend from, wrote a book called On the Jews and Their Lies.

16:22 In it, he recommended burning synagogues and permanently oppressing Jewish communities. He went as far as to write, and I'm quoting him directly, that we are at fault for not slaying them. Luther's writings were reprinted in the Nazi newspaper Der Strummer in 1937. They were used to justify burning synagogues on Kristallnacht in 1938. The Holocaust didn't come from nowhere, it came from 1500 years of Christian anti-Semitism. The built a foundation Hitler stood on and then this is the pivot your understanding of everything depends on.

17:04 The guilt of the Holocaust became the political currency that purchased the state of Israel in 1948. The world that had failed to stop the murder of 6 million people as switched its conscience by creating a state on land already inhabited by people who had nothing to do with the Holocaust. 1 atrocity, 1 guilt, 1 displaced people and a second displacement as the answer. That is the cycle. It has never been broken, because breaking it would require acknowledging it honestly, and that acknowledgement has never been permitted.

17:53 So we started with a letter, 67 words. We've established that the founding document of this entire conflict was a political transaction, not a religious mandate. That the map of the modern Middle East was drawn by two European men with a ruler who had no accountability to the people living there.

18:18 That the biblical claim to this land belongs equally to the descendants of both Isaac and Ishmael, which means it was never an exclusive claim. That a sitting Israeli government minister has publicly described the map of Greater Israel he is working towards, and that the largest pro Israel movement in America is funding that expansion based on a theology that ends with 2/3 of Israeli Jews dying.
